Move over Madge?

Starting work at 6:30am on a Sunday morning isn't the highlight of my week. However, last weekend while sorting through the newspapers I came across 'Style' magazine and all over a sudden I wanted to dance...Lady GaGa graced the front cover and I now couldn't wait for break time so I could read the article!
Lady Gaga has been an overnight success, both in the music and fashion world, and at only 22 years of age she is an inspiration. The article proves she is anything but Gaga....

...However, when I hear "Just Dance" it makes me want to don on my killer heels and dance...even at 6:30am...now that is GaGa!

Myspace or yours?

This week I started looking through my work for pieces to include in my portfolio. In first year I interviewed the founder of the t-shirt company, Babycakes. I got a high 2:1 for this particular piece of work and as I have a keen interest in PR and writing, I decided to include it in my portfolio. However, due to the guidelines of the brief I couldn't present my work as though it was a magazine article. I decided to change this for my portfolio...

Is Fashion Art?...

This week I finished a Fashion Promotion brief for the handbag designer company, 'Nook&Willow'. The bags were inspired by the Art Deco movement, and inparticular Art Deco buildings such as, the Raffles Hotel and the Chrysler Building in New York. I decided to use this idea to inspire my photoshoot for a look book for their Spring/Summer 09 collection. As the sun set on 2008...

As the sun set on 2008 and with the country caught up in what feels like an ice age, I dreamt of sun drenched, distant shores.
My highlight of the year was the week I spent in Ibiza with my best friend, Nicky. This is one of my favourite images taken from the holiday.
